Lambing at Saddlescombe farm

Here at the Chimney House we focus on sourcing the best local, seasonal and foraged ingredients possible. We have been lucky enough to work closely with Saddlescombe farm for a while now and  you will often find Mutton, Hogget or Lamb on the menu which has been reared, farmed and bought to us straight from the farm.

Saddlescombe is a unique farm based just over the brow of the hill past Devils Dyke, 5 miles north of Brighton.  Run by Camilla and Roly they focus on farming and nurturing the best quality produce.

During Aprils Lambing season Charlie, alongside other Brighton chefs were invited to get some hands on experience at Saddlescombe. From lambing, herding and assisting with the bonding process, Charlie had a wonderful time at the farm.

Here are a selection of Photos taken on the day by David Myers. Hope you enjoy looking through them as much as we did!
